TDA7297 Board Layout

Hello.
I got a TDA7297 board and I'm linking the sound but I don't like the pcb. I don't have room for decent parts, and I want to add several PS caps on it. So I decided to make my own (eagle fever ) layout and I need to know if I've done something wrong. I'm liking the layout so far, and I guess it's better than the single side that I now have the chip on.
I'm planning on powering it with a lm338 regulator board and put everything in a case. I'm not going to use a pot.
Anything badly wrong here? Or maybe some room from improvement without modifying the whole board?

The input tracks to the IC, make it thin and lay the ground plane on the edge. This will shield the IC input tracks.

Silk screen over pads, only a problem if you have a silk screen though.

I don't understand. The red plane is the ground plane, not the silkscreen.
Silkscreen is put in automatically I guess right? Or you are talking about the white traces? Those are cut out automatically at process so they won't be printed on the pads.

Yep, the white bits are the silkscreen. Some packages don't trim them when post processing the design.

Oh, then I'll make sure they are gone I will study some more to see how to cut them out automatically. For example, for the LED it's automatically traced on the pads. Need to read some more.
