Good choice, you shouldn't have any issues getting it to work. I'll try to get a picture of my board showing the heatsink I used. Best to try and follow their suggested layout in the datasheet when planning your board.

We're using these little amps at work to drive computer speakers. The IC at the back is a differential audio receiver, we were using distributed analog audio for a while.
A correction: I didn't lay out this board, it was done by a co-worker.

TO-220 Stand up Heat Sink 2-1/2" tall
