Dual secondary transformer with 8 of 4a diodes is okay, a bit max, but okay.
Center tap transformer with 4 of 10a diodes is okay and quite similar.
Center tap transformer with 4 of 4a diodes--those diodes aren't strong enough.

Next, the most common cause of overheating is too many duplicate grounds, aka ground loops. See Decibel Dungeon website for a briefing on star grounding.

You can: Strongly connect PG+ to PG- at the output of the power supply board to create a central ground, the 0V. You'll be needing a 0V.
Run one (1) wire from the 0V to each amplifier's CG port.
Run one (1) wire from the 0V to the speaker jack negative.
Now most of the ground loops are gone. It will probably quit overheating.
