Default Amplifier help. im baffed

hello everyone
this is my first post on here so ill start by saying hi, I'm andy from london!

currently ive got a DUAL PA-5030 'Audionphile Concept' amplifier [about 16 years old, 30 watts] and a pair of Limit speakers [200 watts]

im lookin to put another set of speakers on but my amp only supports one speaker set. is there any way I can do this without risking my amplifier??

Also, if anyone has details about my amplifier i'd love to know a bit mroe about it such as 4 or 8 ohms.. whatever that means. right now i know that its 30 wpc, 16 years old, and i might get an electric shock if i touch all the wires at the back with wet hands.
ive searched the net and can only find one page even mentioning my amplifier. is it rare? is it valuble? or is it a total piece of ****?

any help would be good, if you cant be arsed to post it here please email caseworkdan@hotmail.com

thanks alot!
andy

2-Way Stereo Speaker Switch Box

A two-way switch box for connecting a stereo power amplifier to two pairs of speakers that can be connected to the amplifier’s output either separately or simultaneously. The unit is wired such that the minimum load presented to the amplifier is 4 ohms (when used with 8 ohms speakers) which is safe for most amplifiers. When both speakers are off, the switch box presents a safe 220 ohms load. Speaker connections are via spring-loaded terminals. Dimensions 16.5x9x5cm.
· Run two sets of speakers from your hi-fi
· Switch on either set or both together
· Sturdy metal construction

get this from Maplin(.co.uk)

your amplifier sounds a lot better than your speakers

sreten.

Cheers mate, ill have a look into that.

speakers are useless for classical music but perfect for dnb; thunderously loud bass
looking to get a pair of little Mordaunt-Short [601's i think] to balance it all out.
