have one of these lm4766 amps
working fine for months
i was attaching new speaker cables and let in drop a few inches and now it works but is gradulley getting hot when perviously stayed cool.
any easy solutions or am a betting just getting another!
Lol... Most of these ebay amps arent ment to be used by DIYers... They just fail.
Had that Other LM4766 amp board, 45x100mm o r something... The design was so horrible that the chip oscillated like crazy and when i cranked it up at +-28V and with 8 ohm load it just started smoking.

i have external crossovers on my diy studio monitors as i plan active dsp later.
i mounted the crossover pcbs together for tidyness on steel risers
must have shorting speaker outs!!!!!
The "drop" make have overstressed a connection.
Take the assembled PCB out of the case and resolder all the component pads.
Check to find and repair any cracked traces.
The big capacitors are the most likely to have broken their solder pad connection.
