Default My fans - how they love me....

Konnichiwa,

Hi folks,

Now I normally do not think much of myself, but at times it is quite refreshing to note that others do. I'm really chuffed with this little tribute site....

http://www.hilberink.nl/amps/lm3875schema.htm

I have rarely laughed as hard and long outside a Mel Brooks spoof film. Great.

Talking Chipamp vs. Discrete Amp

Goedeavond, goedemorgen, goedemiddag,
Hi,
For me it is always refreshing to hear from the other side rather than to hear for the xth time how good the gainclone is. BTW in Dutch the latter is sometimes called geen-clone meaning no-clone, but sounding about the same.
Tot ziens!

after hearing of the gaincard and some googling about i stumbled on that site too, some time ago. It made me decide to build one, paradoxally

From the one side i heard these raving stories about how good it was and on the other side people talking about "those ppl using OPAMPS for hq audio. ha!"

I just figured i had to try it out myself. Tested & tried it and i've become pro-gainclone .

I don't know why it is so funny.

On the intended market for the LM chips, I believe not too long ago someone here got words from the engineer who was part of the national team that designed the chip did say that the chip was intended for low-end applications.

and we had dome quite a few simulations that indicated using small filter caps in the PS doesn't help sound.

I wouldn't go into the cable directionality anymore, .

I think there is a lot of hype around the chip. Is it a good one? absolutely. Is it a be-it-all amp? no.

I have three reasonably good amp, a parasound, a signature and a sony es. my various gainclones aren't close to any of them, at high volume.

I would venture to say that my citation 12 (Nelson's design) beat out the gainclone by a long shot.

There are a lot of good things about the gainclone, but tell it as is, please.

Hi Kuei,
Just wondering if you are going to start going by "Mr. Audio Gizmo"?

BTW, I thought it was funny, but it depends how you look at things I guess.

Talking Come on Kuei...

The guy even calls "schottky diodes" to the MUR860s.
I had some good laughs reading that.
Can you take seriously a guy like this?

The picture is rather funny I thought. I look better on it than my usual self. I am most amused that someone whould take me serious enough to dovote all this time and effort on something that he thinks will upset me while it really only makes me laugh....
