I plan on beginning work on my very own gainclone using OPA541s. Since it seems like there is a lot of ground work already laid out for such a project, I was wondering if someone could be so kind as to point me to the most hifi schematic.

Just a tip: The opa541 shouldn't be used with a gain of 33x (as some people do with the lm3875). It can't be made to sound good this way because it's limited open loop gain. I use it with a gain of 10x, but you can easily go with 20-22x.
