Hi all!

I have a toroid (225VA,2x30V) in stock, and I want to build an subwoofer amplifier, but all the chipamps i can find is not able to withstand +/- 42(43)V supply....

Any thoughts on which amp i could build that could use this x-former?

Go discrete for reliable 150W/4r or thereabouts.
An LM3886 won't cut it, and the TDA7294 is *just* on the edge, for an 8 ohms load.
I'm not a fan *at all* of parallel chipamps.
A subwoofer amp is an "easy" one.
Who needs 0.0001% distortion/high slew rate/500 KHz bandwith/class A/whatever there?
Any simple raw power amp will do.
Tons of projects, even here at DIY.
