Default Replacing power amp LA4625...

TLDR Question: Is there any IC with almost the same wiring and impedances of the LA4625 but with a THD lower than 10%? How do i search for this?

Story: I recently wired my stereo (panasonic sa-pm03) to the monitor outputs of an focusrite scarlett 2i2 and i noticed a great increase of sound quality.

Then i did something i never bothered to do before, see the specs of my stereo.
I read that the THD is around 10%, i'm not sure but it looks like a high number to me. Looking further i found the service manual with all the components, and it seems what is giving it this 10% of THD is the power amp LA4625.

So i thought, what if i could simply buy a better IC with the same wiring and impedances but with a better THD.

Any help on this?

Hi,

10% THD is just the distortion at an overinflated maximum power output.

http://www.datasheetcatalog.org/data...f_e/LA4625.pdf

Basically its under 0.2% up to about 10 watts per channel. It
starts clipping at ~ 7W per channel, (12V supply, 4 ohm load.)

A different chip won't help, it will be similar.

rgds, sreten.
