Another cheap TA2020 board

Does anyone have experience with this TA2020 board. It is the cheapest atm on eBay.

The caps used are the cheapest on the market. I have access to a lot of caps so a mod wouldn't cost me a thing. I want to use it to drive some ceiling speakers that are nowhere near hifi.

Do some google research. There might be fake TA2020 chips popping up.

The price is low enough. It might be worth a try. Let everyone know how it goes.

It might be good enough for the purpose you have in mind.

Purchased it, I have another YJ board so I can compare them.
I don't think the chip is fake but it could be possible that another company reproduces the chip.

I've tested the board with Wharfedale Diamond bookshelf speakers. This board is weird to explain. It is very stereo rich, no idea how that is possible. Sounds like it has some sort of 3d effect in it. Lacks a bit of bass, probably cause of the low quality input caps. Power consumption is almost equal to the YJ board. I do think this board has potential.

I never heard a TA2024 so this will be a nice competitor too. And god damn these became cheap, last time I checked they were twice that much wich wasn't expensive either.

FWIW, I bought the Sure Electronics TA2024 amp that comes in an enclosure. The YJ TA2020 board sounds much better, I don't even use the Sure TA2024 amp.

board looks similar to Arjen Helders excellent amp..

Buy it? At $6 bux including FREE shipping (which will cost the vendor the larger part of that 6$.) it's not exactly risky.
IF it actually works.. then that's an added bonus
But just how realistic are your expectations on how 'good' it sounds.. when it's essentially free.?

Well, I bought it some weeks ago and received it. It's playing for 2 weeks now and it sounds excellent I think it's the same as the Helder amp.

I think this is the discontinued Arjen Helder board. He now has a mark III version.
