IMO bridging LM386s is like putting mag wheels on a Ford Fiesta. There are so many better chip amp choices for 3W @ 12VDC.

Tda 2030 (and 2040 or 2050, more powerful) are the best ones to start with.
Just pick a dual secondary transformer, 12+12 V ...50-100 W
The amplifiers requiring a single 12 V supply can easily be stripped off
from Pc speakers .

Well, it's a system, so everything will be made in order to achieve a certain
goal.
Usually- the standard- the goal is to have the music reproduced with the same level as you may hear it ...naturally.

well i built a cab out of scrap pine wood and mounted a single 3 watt speaker from an old keyboard. waiting on electronics to ship so i can put together this tiny beast lol pictures of the process to come
