Decided to build my LM3886 amp on PCBs after all, and after a few days' work I've come up with this. I've focused on keeping everything as short as possible, but working around a solder-mount heatsink I'm using (and had to draw the component for in Eagle).
Signal ground and power ground are seperated and connected only by a small trace. If someone could let me know what they think and if there is room for improvement, I'd be ever so grateful. ![]() The 0 ohm resistor is just a thick wire link to get the speaker output. Hmm. OK. Just picked up on a few things myself when looking at it again.
- the trace connecting signal and power ground should be moved to the ground point in the center of the chip instead - at the moment it's in the worst possible place, especially as - - the speaker ground doesn't have enough groundplane - I will solve this by moving the SPK pad up a bit to expose more copper. Do your worst! |
