one of my friend is not happy with the summing amplifier and he wanted me to check why is it not that good. Ive checked couple of products but they have a output trafo. I think thats why it had some distortion...
does it really required to have output trafo for summing amp?
the schematic is very simple File:Op-Amp Summing Amplifier.svg - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I would like to do something like that in wikipedia in that case do we need to have the output transformer? can we eliminate that? Does it affect anything?

there is no need to pair a summing amp with an output transformer. The system would have to be just a bit unusual to have that requirement. For example, if you needed a balanced output with very good common mode properties, or very high ground loop isolation. Most common home hi-fi setups don't need that.
