Default Modular v/s one-board

Example : Two way active system

Module :
1) Power supply - 2 Nos ( Two Boards )
2) Chip-Amplifier - 4 Nos ( Four Boards )
3) Active Crossover - 2 Nos (One board for Left and another for Right Channel )

V/s

1) Power supply = 1 Nos ( Single Board )
2) Chip-Amplifier = 4 Nos. ( Four Boards / 2 Boards in-case of stereo chip )
3) Active Crossover = 1 Nos ( One board for Left & Right Channel )

v/s

Everything is on one board. ( No loose wiring )

It appears all your configurations could be possible, but are you confusing "boards" with "Chassis"?

I think you are describing monoblocks vs. modular vs. integrated as physical build options. Though some exist, a "everything on one PCB" kit or design is rather limiting for mods and upgrades, and adding an active crossover to that single PCB would be rather exotic - though interesting.

Can you make a more descriptive (detailed) presentation of the system you are trying to create?

For Example...

AudioSector : build their kits (LM4780) Amplifier only. PSU connected or disconnected to amp. If required active crossover can be added separately.

SL's Pluto is all in one-board.

O.K. That helps a lot.

Is the open back or omni-field speaker design key to what you want? I'm using the Sunflowers and love the presentation.

Are you hoping to build a "get it done" system or is tweaking/experimenting of interest to you?

How far into DIY/PCB work attracts you? There is a lot of good information on using a stock or modded Behringer DCX2496 Ultradrive here on the forum as an active XO.

Finally, do you want to DIY your speakers?
