Is anybody know good IC's for driving mosfets ,for example like TDA7250 except for mosfet transistor.
Thanks! |

Electrons are yellow and more is better!

Linear had one LT1166 but according to reports it wasn't so good. I think it's still best to use discrete driver transistors.
Have you checked Jan's LYNX amp? http://www.audio-circuit.dk/ LYNX amp problems...Help

Well, I know i'm not the right one to say, but...
Isn't LM4651N a mosfet driver? |

Yes, the 4651 is a mosfet driver, designed for the 4652

Only works with 4652, or can drive individual Power Mosfets? |

I thought that's a PWM controller. On to TDA7250. I am not sure if the bias is current based or voltage based. But even if it is specifically designed for BJT output devices, you can still make it work with MOSFET devices. How? Well, you can use the 7250 to drive a pair of BJTs which in turn drive the MOSFETs in CF configuration. On the 7250, is it designed to drive just one pair of BJTs or it can handle darlingtons as well? |

I don't know the exact details, but by reading the datasheet for the 51 and 52, it says that the 51 is a mosfet driver. I would assume that it would work for any mosfets, but as I haven't built any, I can't help you that much.

I just checked the datesheet. The 4651 is a pmw controller driving a mosfet H-bridge (4652).
So if you are looking for a class D subwoofer amp (its performance isn't too hot), you got the right devices. |
