Default USB powered chipamp

A friend of mine are looking for a simple 5v single supply amplifier to be driven by an USB output. Stereo operation. Any advice?

Your best bet is probably a pair of LM386, or a single TEA2025B, or something very similar.

You can use on of these from a USB outlet: eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace
Only needs 5v but you will only get about 3w.

What for ? Buy it as part of a pair of USB
powered speakers is likely your best bet.

I don't believe that a USB port can provide enough current for this amplifier chip.
