Hello experts,
I am currently designing a multichannel preamp based on 3 Burr-Brown PGA2311. The datasheet, however, is not clear about the modalities of daisy-chaining. Can you control the volume separately for each one or just all together in this setup? Thanks Patrik |

If they are daisy chained, in series, as shown in the datasheet, each 2311 can be set to any volume level. You will have to send 3 words (16 bits) of data to set the level of all (3) the PGA2311s. See Figure 4 on the datasheet and the associated verbiage. The interface behaves like one long 48 bit shift register.
