And I am going to suggest that the original pot was faulty from the beginning, for any of many reasons.
It would be very easy to hear an improvement by replacing a faulty component.


I will further suggest that you are kidding yourself that the TDK and/or the silver wiring are responsible for finding an improvement.

I agree, the pot could have been bad since the amp was first fired up, so comparing the two with that said is probably not fair. However it is noticeably better now; not that it was bad before, it is just better now. I did not intend to imply that the silver had any effect on the sound it is just what I used instead of the amb pcb. Sorry I thought I made this clear when I stated that I am not one to make wild claims about one component over another.

Gotcha, either way the pot was faulty, thankfully because it was an easy fix.

TDK sound way better than Alps!!! if people say it is the same crab...they have hearing problems!. TDK are very smooth to turn and their sound is wonderful

PS: I used to use just Alps in my amps, NOT anymore!!!
