Swichable source and volume pot. Whats the best way?
 

I've just finished version 2 GC. It seems as if the 100k pot I've used in the signal path is shorted to the case resulting in a ground loop when I touch it. I've removed it from the case but even if the pot enclosure is close it happens.

Also what is the best what to switch between two input sources in addition to having a volume pot?
My signal ground runs from the RCA input shield to ground. I'm using teflon covered siver shielded cable of less than 1/8" dia to connect. Any suggestions?

i just use a toggle switch to switch the signal on my amp. it is probably not very good for the sound quality, but im not an audiophile (spelling?).

HOw about building a digital pot for your gain clone. : O )
