Hi Guys. Ive been reading some threads this week and found some of the articals very usefull. I am an audio fanatic and like to take on DIY amplifier projects. Ive only build 2 amp of my own design, but now I would like to try out some chip amps. The LM4702 does look like a very nice option. I tried to get the PCB design onto vera board, but this is proving almost impossible since the star ground seems very important. Ive mainly followed the 1490 application note by national. This is what I have so far:
Power supply: 35 0 35 500 VA toroidal giving me appr. 47V rails with 30 000 uF filter caps on each rail. I have the MJ11032 & MJ11033 darlingtons for output stages. Can you use a series cap on the output stage? (disadvantages?) Is this a good combo? And can anyone help me with a good PCB design. Anyone got Gerber files? Sorry for all the questions but it seems that there is so much to learn.. |

Perhaps a pic or link to your project will suffice.

Hi shaun, Where do you normally get your components from in SA? Must say it was difficult getting the LM4702 and the MJ11032&3. |
