Hi people,
i'm in the process of repairing a sony TA-F550ES amp with a dead right channel. the faulty component is the STK3102N preamp (90-100W) It seems the STK3102N is no longuer available, but there are some STK3102III and STK3102IV models. i would like to know if those are compatible !? thank you for any info ! |

Could not find spec sheet for stk-3102N, but for the II, and III types. The type III requires a 15 pF cap between pins 4 and 6 and between pins 10 and 12. The type II and III both require a 470 ohm resistor in series with a 68 pF cap between pins 3 and 4, and between pins 12 and 13. These components were internal in the original STK-30X2 driver modules. This assumes the 3102N is the same as a 3102. Check schematic and compare to datasheets for values. YMMV - good luck

thank you for replying.
in fact, it seems the STK3102N is identical to the STK3102III the required components you mention are already in place on the board. regards ! |

One last comment - Some people think the STK driver modules run too hot, and would benefit with a heat sink (a reasonable sized piece of aluminum would do) for improved reliability.
