Default AMP 12V 8 ohms output power 30W and very simple

Click the image to open in full size.

with 12 V and a resistance of 8 ohms, the theoretical max should be:
P = (12 * 12) / 8 = 18 W

SO if If it is used 18v instead of 12v you will be
P = (18 * 18) / 8 = 40.5 W ?

Your formula is correct if your assume rail to rail swings and square waves.
However, it is more typical to rate the output power with a sine wave. In that case the powers will be half of what you quote.
