What about using car primer. Something like the primer used on Audi a2,a3,a4 etc

If the surface is prepared (Chemical Film or anodize) this primer will also stick to it, but will offer less protection but enough for audio application =)

Good question. I don't know but I would guest that if this stuff can stick to pure copper (or tinned copper) it should also stick to a prepared surface. But this is only a wild guess. I have no information if this was done before =(
