That is pretty much exactly what my plan was going to be so thank you so much for taking the time to recognize a thread in need of help. Could you possibly post your set up or some options for it (for a 2 way active with about 30-40W per driver)? I only say this power range because currently my solution is to be powering this whole setup using an incredible 30/30 CT 10A transformer . This would give enough juice for the whole system at a stable (according to National) voltage with enough VA to cover peaks cleanly.

The drivers I have tentatively found are a Drayton 6-1/2" with an RMS of 50W and a decent sensitivity and quite good freq range (able to cover up to my predicted about 2500Hz crossover) and a tweeter (I forget which one, but its the highest rated one when you click on dome tweeters with pretty low bottom range and about 40W RMS). I've determined it best for me to have the speakers in the corners of the room.

I think the enclosure decision could be modeled after
Building a Loudspeakers at Parts Express

Anyway, hope that clears a few things up and thanks again to everyone for all the help, I'm pretty anxious to start ordering/building.

Francec, like I said earlier can you give me some proven options for an active 2 way that could be run easily and cleanly off of 300 VA OR what you did on this thread? If not, then go ahead and PM me but I appreciate it.
