Running 3886 amp with nice low dc offsets.
I've been experimenting with other diy amp types so I ordered a protection relay kit off of you know where. Nice kit for cheap money. Needs 12vac supply. I'm going to use a wall wart for power. Just wondering if there are any suggestions for other ways to get the 12v AC.? It uses a 7812 regulator for dc so I guess I could make a 12v dc circuit and bypass the diode bridge and everything will turn on and off at the same time. I may have answered my own questions. |

Yea, you pretty much nailed it. However, its not impossible to get 12vAC wall warts. Look in a Radioshack. Either way, it will be basically the same thing. You will just be using the rectifier in the wallwart and not the one on board.

Yeah.
I've got a couple of 12v AC wall transformers so that's probably the simplest and maybe best way to go. Thanks |

Why not use a 12v Regulator and the +V of your chip amp power supply , or use a 24v Relay and use the +V of the chipamp PSU ??
