I have succesfully completed building TDA 7294 Bridge Amp using +/-35 volts. As per the data sheet it is mentioned that power output with 8 ohms speaker is 150 watts. Is it RMS power or maximum power output and what is the PMPO output of TDA 7294 bridge AMP?
Thanks, Sunny. |

PMPO means nothing. It is only used by cheap & crappy "audio"-brands.

150 watts peak or 75 watts RMS.

I would agree with vigier there pmpo..is a company's way of trying to make some low end/cheap units 'sound' better so people will buy them....always go for the true rms power instead..
@sunny..place a meter on the o/p of your bridged unit and read the ac o/p voltage at full power and use ohms law to get your answer, oh and don't bridge your amp at 4 ohms or it will fail... |
