Can I use this as a preamp?

Hi, everyone!
I just found a dead simple schematic for a LM386-based amp - http://www.beavisaudio.com/library/L..._Schematic.jpg - and was wondering if instead of connecting a speaker to it, I could connect an amp to it and use it as a preamp for a guitar?
If not, can you suggest me any simple schematic for a guitar/bass preamp?

thanks ;)

Yes you can do that ....... The LM386 has a very Lo-Fi sound that some poeple like for guitar but I never really liked them ......

Designing Op Amp Audio PreAmplifiers

before you ask, i enterd into google the following keywords:
opamp preamp circuit.
:D
hapy building.
go for split supply at your first prototype, 2 9v batteries in series should be more than enough.

Try this site ....

DIYstompboxes.com - Index

It is a Forum with a lot of Stomp Box builds with Schematics and layouts etc ....

That is Basicly all you need , just a Preamp with Overdrive and Tone controlls , there are also kits you can buy for a wide variety of different pedals .....

Cheers
