I already built an stereo LM4702 amp for my main speakers and i love the sound quality. I want to build one for my subwoofer. If i want to build just one channel can i leave the (comp,sink,source,+,- pins) for the unused channel on the lm4702 floating or do they need to be shorted to ground or something.

As this will be for subwoofer use, maybe you can consider using both channels in bridged mode for more power?

For opamps that are unity-gain stable, the standard procedure for an unused one in a dual package is to connect the output to the negative input and then ground the positive input.
But the LM4702 is apparently NOT unity-gain stable. You could probably wire the unused one with components like in Figure 1 on page 10 of the datasheet, but connect its input to ground. |
