Chipamp questions

I recently purchased a chipamp from chipamp.com and assimbled it. I am using a 25x2 transformer and when I am running the amp I can hear the transformer buzzing. If I touch the transformer I can feel it vibrating. Is this normal?

Also the traces going to the LED burned off when I plugged it in, so the LED does not work. I have double and triple checked my connections and cant seem to figure out what I have done wrong.

The amp works great besides these few issues and sounds great.

Here is how I have the leads going to the power supply

|--- 25 --> AC1 with the line over it
|--- 0 --> AC1

|--- 25 --> AC2 with line over it
|--- 0 --> AC2

Please let me know what you think.

Can you post some photos please?

Are you using the chipamp.com (BrianGT) boards?

Have you installed your diodes correctly?

It sounds like there is a short circuit causing the transformer to draw a lot of current and therefore vibrate as the magnetic field fluctuates.

just be carfull not to pop your caps
If your power supply voltage is exceeding the "WV__ " working voltage maximum
is labeled right on your filter caps...
grab your meter and check OK
