Im am looking into buying and amplifer. It needs to be 2 channels with (at least) 100 watts PER channel. It also needs to 4 ohm stable PER channel. My budget for it is MAX $200. It doesnt have to be the best name in the world(Pyle is ok). And it needs to have some feature like RCA's and maybe a display.
-Thanks |

After doing some research, making something is so much more expensive and time consuming.

Here is another one ... Soundscraftsmen RA5502 Power Amplifier 1/4" input jacks - eBay (item 170608090092 end time Mar-06-11 14:21:27 PST) That SC 5502 would be perfect for a 4 OP device stereo pair (120w/8R). What I'm doing for the nikko or would of done for the SC5502 will only cost me about 120-150$. Just some fancy custom PCB "magic". ![]() OS

Buying working second hand is probably cheapest, unless someone is giving it away.
Buying a non working "donor" amplifier is probably next cheapest. The amplifier inside the "box" may be worth no more than 10% of the total value of the "box". Replace the amplifier and you have all the other bits for just a few $/£

I do gave a sony Hi-Fi amp but it is 8 ohms for the output impedance. If there a way to change it? and thanks ostripper for the feedback, but it would be great if you could go into greater detail with the whole amp thing.
-Thanks |
