While looking through the service manual of my Yamaha DSP-A595 I noticed there was an exterior decoder input which seems to bypass alot of the circuitry of the amp.
At the moment Im using the amp for stereo only and have an optical out from my soundcard. When I tried an analoge out ( 3.5mm to rca) from the soundcard into the ext decoder input i noticed a significant improvement in the sound. With this in mind im going to do that x-fi mod on my soundcard and hopefully gain more improvement. Question? 1.Does this seem a good idea and have I overlooked anything. btw I will only be using the amp for stereo playback. Below is the Block diagram |
