According to this: [TechAssist] Re: looking for STK2038 (or 20x8) pinout or datasheet - techassist - FreeLists , you can't ( different number of pins and probably pin-out ) it's probably easier to build a new amp module with an ic that has similar voltage requirements and power output.

The STK 2038 is notorious for failure, and when it does it often takes the voltage amp IC, AN7062 with it.

These amps are nothing particularly special to be honest.

Ye i know
Since im beginer in audio electronics i alrdy managed to fix one hitachi amp with STK ic...
This Technics amp was one of many i mean realy many fail amps with STK hybrid inside... So for start of my electronic experience all i can say is run away from STK amps as far as u can!

cricklewoodelectronics.com list the STK2038 II but I have no idea if this is the same as the STK2038B.

Hi,
I have the same problem on Technics SU-V2X, I have ordered the STK2038 but i'm not shure if it is pin compatible with the STK2038IV.
Does anyone have a datasheet of the STK2038 ?
What is the best replacement ? I would like to have class A or Technics new class A output stage. Any suggestion ?

Works, I have replaced the STK2038IV with STK2038, no change on the mainboard of the SU-V2X
