Default Rotel RA9708X Pot

I have an old Rotel RA9708X amplifier with a dual volume pot, and one channel is dying on me.

The pot is marked VR501 on the print card, and 50KAX2 on itself.

Can anyone recomend a replacentpart for it, and where to buy it online?

Any help would be much apriciated!!

Maybe better to ask the question in the Solid State or parts section of the forum...

Anyway, 50KAX2 suggests an Alps pot, so just replace with a new 50k Alps pot and use wire links to connect to the circuit board.
If you are sure that the pot is faulty.

Squirt some isopropyl alcohol into it and turn it several times. It might clear your problem.

if you can't find a replacement or make one fit, if it was me I'd bypass it (set it at max with direct wires) and use an external attenuator for varying volume.

then, the sky's the limit. passive, active, cheap, expensive, you name it.

it's a dual 50K logarithmic taper potentiometer. The pinout spacing also looks quite standard. If you cant get dual 50K, then dual 47K should work pretty well.

Where to buy - would depend on where you live!
