Default Cheapest Transformers

I'm trying to locate a cheap transformer for my lm3886 (x2) gainclone/chipamp. I built the circuit, but haven't had any success finding a transformer for a reasonable price (Im a college student on a tight budget). If anybody has any leads, please respond, even if it's not a toroid type.

Thanks,
Nicholas G.

Shameless promo:

I have one for sale in the swap meet section: link. I think it should be good for gainclone at 24V-0-24V but you may want to verify this. I think it should fit in USPS small flat rate envelope ($4.95). If yes, then I can sell it to you for $25 shipped. If not, $30 shipped (medium size flat rate).

Default recycle or

I have had good success with the 28vac x2 xformer from ApexJr.com

Or you can keep an eye on the dupster. Look for some blown up equipment
check the xformer. College students are shameless, so go dumpster diving!
You'll need 20vac x2 up to 30vac, 100va or more (size of your hand)

College's also have surplus sales from time to time.

I have an old technics that worked well.

or take maurycy's door stop off his hands.
Good luck.

+1 for Antek. Good stuff! I've used a couple of their high-voltage transformers for tube amps.
