Hello, I purchased a TDA2009a 10+10 watt amp kit: QKits Electronic Kits: QK88, 10W Stereo Amp kit
And I assembled it, but when powered from a 12vdc adapter it gives 5vdc at the outputs, why would this be? there are no solder bridges, and all caps are oriented in the right way, would there be a problem with the dc decoupling caps on the outputs? http://www.electronickits.com/kit/co...ampl/ck708.pdf there is the exact kit I have, showing the circuit. Thanks for any help. |

Have you connected a load at the outputs?
A 10 to 20R resistor should do it for tests. If there s no load, then you ll have to wait that the output capacitor is charged through your multimeter, and this is will take a considerable time because of the high impedance of the latter, thus you won t have the correct value displayed, which is 0V once the output cap is charged.. |

Thanks, I hooked up a spare test speaker, and got a reading of .01mv at the outputs.
