hi I know its been done, as the best sounding opamp, but I have 2 specific q's please.
1/ best single op amp for a first stage 100 ohm load ( noise) amp with about 50db gain currently using lt1028, but is there better sounding given coinstraints. 18 volt _/+ rails I can check feedback R's if need be. 2/ following on we have passive riaa stage so loading requirements, I can check values if need be and a dual opamp with a bit of make up gain, I think its bog std. 5532 here. so how do I better the 5532 with 1/ a conventional dual and 2/ with an adaptor praps? thanks for help

This is for a phono input stage right?
Douglas Self has written comprehensively on the subject and has a great website. If you can post some more info e.g. impedance of your cartridge & output level I'm sure there's a lot of knowledge on the forum. You've searched on the subject here right?
