Default power supply question

Hey, Have a quick question about using switching supplies with a TD7265 amp.

Where I work we carry many desktop bricks that range from 12v, 15v, and 19v. Usually with current ratings of 3 to 5A. Im thinking about using 1 or 2 bricks to power the amp depending on If i bridge or not.

The supplies we have have excellent regulation and fairly clean outputs. Any opinions on how this will perform??

I'm building the amp to power speakers on my desk at work. typical power will not exceed 1-5W.

Also wondering if anyone has tried running these chips in parallel to drive a 4 ohm load at 19-20V. I'm looking into using these chips as a friend has them and the boards.

The speakers I want to drive are a pair of A/D/S/ L300E's which are 4 ohm.

Hi,
most of the chipamps run from dual polarity supplies.
You will need two laptop PSUs. Your 19Vdc becomes +-19Vdc and is sometimes referred to in the data sheet by it's total rail to rail voltage of 38Vdc in some design examples.

AndrewT : I decided to go with LM3886's anyway. I'll be ordering a nice 250va 18+18 transformer to go with it soon. I'm sure it'll drive the 4 ohm load better then the TD7265's. And i'm familiar with the 3886's.

Unfortunately its not as convenient as the twin power bricks, but most likely a whole lot better in the end.
