2 Logitech Z5500 subs, 1 Control unit

so after sending back my control unit for replacement several times due to the lcd back light going out, they sent me an entire unit. i've ended up with 2 sets and only 1 control unit.

so i tried connecting the 2 units with some SVGA cables i soldered up but got some slight burning smells so i gave up on it.

i was looking for a second control unit on ebay and came across the cables that allow you to use the speakers without the control pod. that brought me to this site looking for a wiring diagram of the plug.

i've purchased a Y splitter cable and plan to hook up the 2 units that way. i used this picture and will only connect the wires that are highlighted in the pictures, do you see any problems with this?

I have done it with 2 subs to 1 control unit.
You have to make a Y-splitter cable and connect pin 1 to 1 and so on.
Only pin 10, 14 and 15 you dont cornnect.
