Hi, kinda new here.
I'm thinking of building a 2.1amp that runs on 12V car battery. I've been looking at complete car amplifiers, but I've heard that their energy efficiency is really bad? So I'm think of bouilding together maybe a T-amp för Right and Left and somehow connect a D-amp to run a big base? I'd preffer if that amps are already complete, so I only need to connect the 2 amps together ![]() I'm looking at least 2x100W + 1x200(+)W |

that is basically impossible, with a 12V power source the highest power u can deliver into an 8 ohm load is 9W and into a 4ohm load is 18W with bridging. to obtain 200W for your subwoofer you would need, +-29V supply voltage and about 7A current ability, with your other 2 100W output you would need about another 7A.
So you now need a smps that can boost you 12V car battery to +-29V and able able to source and sink 14A of current, which means it would need about 65A from you car battery, now that's quite a lot of current. and it would be very very hard to build something like that. So ya, you need to revise your design goal a bit. |
