Default Any assistance in using XBOX 360 PS?

Hi guys! I'm trying to power a 41hz.com AMP9B with an XBOX360 203W power brick and can't get it to work. I have schematics and can take pics of the internals for reference.

My issue is that I can not get the power brick to turn on and supply the +12V. I'm reading +5V off the red wire (stndby) and about .77V off the blue wire (communication wire/turn on). The only thing that really makes this tough for me to diagnose is that there are three illuminations. Red, Orange, and green. The power brick is always orange. I can't get it to green. Orange is standby, possible fault, possible everything .

Any help? Thanks in advance!

The link you provided is broken.

The document is pretty clear on what to do. On page 9 it says to ground pin 7 to turn on the +12V from pins 4, 5, and 6.

Hmmm, I did that and the PS didn't turn on the +12V. I'm guessing that the PS is blown then?

link fixed in first post...

Could be. Older 360 power supplies had overheating issues, as did the the console itself.

You should ask the xbox 360 geeks: Scenyx Entertainment Community (Powered by Invision Power Board) A member known as 'RDC' is the guy to get in comm with. Hes the man on xbox 360 technical stuff.

(Seriously, this guy managed to install - and get fully functioning - a slot loading DVD drive into his 360. Pretty cool stuff: WIP Slot Loading Dvd Drive - Scenyx Entertainment Community Video: http://s50.photobucket.com/albums/f320/RDCXBG/360%20Slot%20Loader/?action=view&current=Hitachi-iMac050.flv)

He should be able to help

Hi Mike,

I'm trying to contact RDC. I have a bad Xbox 360 DVD PCB, I read that he can for a fee, get the key from the EEPROM chip and mail it to me. I was hoping that if he's not to busy I can get this done.

Thanks in advance for your help

Steve
