so true Eva, they are not even the same power rating, as ive said before, the tda2050 is a much better match to the lm1875. both around the 30watt mark the tda2050 will take 50v (+/-25v) the lm1875 60volts (+/-30v) but the tda will provide a touch more current, but with a few % more thd noise.

Yes, the TDA2030, 2040, 2050, and the LM1875 make for excellent beginner projects.

A particurlarly interesting kit for beginners is the Quasar Kit #50, sometimes named QK50 or K50. This features the LM1875 and there is a matching power supply for it too.

The resistor values for K50 are off kilter slightly and should probably be more like 122k with 2.7k for the gain divider and 100k with 2.2k for the input divider. The NFB cap (22uF) could use a 22nF polyester cap added to it (paralleled, term is "bypass cap"), and the input cap could probably use a 10nF paralleled to it. Or some people replace the stock caps with Panasonic FC/FM.
The resulting amplifier is still extremely inexpensive and its capable of high fidelity.

I had begged them to restock that model because its useful as a coaxial, or midrange or a woofer. Its also 92db efficient.

With an efficient and high fidelity speaker, an LM1875 or even a TDA2030 can make significant levels of nice clear output.

Both of these schematic are easy to understand for you.
The lm1875 is amazing power audio amplifier and it is the modification of lm386.
And similarly tda2030 is also a modification of tda2822.

But both 2822 and 386 operates at 9v - 12v and can only power 8 ohm little speakers.
