OK heres a crazy idea. running 2 lm3886 at single supply mode in series with mains rectified. It would have to be mono but with two speakers. each chip would output to a seprate speaker but the input would be from the same channel.
We would just use the mains. this would make a cheap amplified speaker (no transformers). The dual speaker setup would have to have all identical speakers per chip. So if we have an amplified speaker box with one 10 inch sub, one mid, one tweeter. and another speaker box with the same setup running in series with the 160v mains. I would think as long as I use special conectors for the cords no one could get electrified. If both chips are amplifying the exact same signal then they would be drawing the exact same current IE the same draw as in a voltage divider. We would need to put in a voltage over protection circuit just incase a speaker would to blow the other chips voltage would rise beyond the 80v. Is there anything I am missing. Any feedback would be apriciated. I am looking for an extremly inexpensive setup. And this would be perfect. IE no transformers......... |
