Default BrianGT 3886 Monoblocks too quiet!

Well I've got them built and working properly but for the fact that they output far, far, far too quietly

What's the most common cause of this?

Incorrect gain maybe, check resistor values.

Not enough input signal voltage - what is the source?

Could the mute be enabled? That would be about whisper quiet.

I think this is a good suggestion. There should be a resistor between V- and pin 8 to disable the mute. It is not a case of the switch connects the v- via said resistor to mute the circuit, the circuit is muted by removing the voltage on pin 8. So if you thought you didn't need a mute circuit and left it out then that is probably the problem

Tony.

it's a Brian GT PCB. It should have all the necessary components on it.
But does it?
Where is the link to the required checking info?

If you have difficulty reading the bands on the resistors, the easiest way is to check their values with a multimeter.

Try to exclude it and connect directly to you signal source.

Okay so directly off my TV it's loud as heck.

But my passive works great with my LM3875? Is there such a huge gain difference??
