confused with with schematic

Hi,

I was looking at the tda 2030A datasheet ( http://www.st.com/stonline/products/literature/ds/1459/tda2030a.pdf) and on page 10, they have a schematic of a active filter tri amp, each amp having the filter on its input. very interesting.

However, the circuit is designed around using a single source 36v supply.
With my limited electronics knowledge, I cant figure out how that works, considering that the chip's max is 18v

Could someone, point me in a direction where or how I can learn more on what they are doing to give the chip the correct voltage?

I guess the filtering will also work if the seperate amps were powered from +/- rails?

The chip's max is +/-18V, which is just like 36V. Note the input and output coupling caps.

From the spec, the absolute max supply voltage is +/- 22 V. It is equivalent to single-rail 44 V. An app note from TI, SLOA058, describes single-supply op-amp. TDA2030 is essentially a power op-amp.
