Hi,

I purchased this model:M-810AF, LME49810 + BJT x1pair Module

It worked very well, I modified it since then. They/sellers were very easy to deal with and very prompt.

cheers.

Default Any sound comparisons?

How is the sound in comparison to your other amps?

This would be a long post if I give you a comparison with other amps, I have tube, solid state, and D-class.

It depends on what you want, Currently I am experimenting with D-class, 2*100 watts and it is a good deal $44 for 2 channels. Sounds very good, for detail of this model go to D-class forum look under Sure electronics, 2*100watt amp, plenty of info there.

The std module from CP design is quite good, works well, good for modifications as well. Sounds good too. Solid state sounds different to D-class, maybe buy both and experiment. After all they are not that expensive.

If you are saying a modified Sure Tripath module is even in the same league as the CP designs, I will try the Sure next as I am working toward an active cross, powered 5 way with 10 drivers per side.

.
I tried the Sure 2X100 Tripath module. Great price and efficiency but doesn't quite have the fine detail of my TDA7250 amps even after modding the input cap and output filter. Probably just behind my bridged/balanced pair of 3875. Have to try the CP Designs next but this will require everything new as the supply voltages are much higher than any of my other amps.

Details in my Sure 2*100watts is fine, what about your input pots?, and have you changed your power supply caps?

Default I used -4db digital volume control

I run my TDA7250 with stepped attenuators on the inputs and started with them on the Sure 2X100 but the gain of the Sure is low enough that I could run without them only using -4db digital attenuation of my modified DEQ2496 straight in. This is an unfair advantage to the 2X100 as I left the digital the same for each amp and it still can't compare to the fine resolution of the 7250 even with it's additional attenuators. The Sure was running on a linear supply very similar to the 7250. 20,000uf of bypassed filtering after the Shotkys. The TDA7250 has MUR820s so slight advantage there but that is really nitpicking. I might try car batteries before I give up on it to see if that sounds any better and I could also add more capacitance on the board for 35v and 5v as well. I wouldn't remove the old caps as they seem to be lightning fast but I guess a couple more Panasonic FCs couldn't hurt. I would like to wait until Sure replaces the one module I got that was DOA so I can really A B any further mods. Here's the link to my report from the other thread.
