Default Rotel Integrated Amplifier one cahnnel out No sound

I have one ROTEL RA-930AX model amp which has one channel working perfectly. But other channel no sound. when I turn the volume up I can hear the sound very faint but that is it. Is it because of bad output transistor

or bad capacitor. Please help me with some input so that I can repair this amp. I would really appreciate it.

Swap the input connectors. The faint sound may be crosstalk from the good input.

This will tell if its the rotel or the source. To go further a schematic is needed.

well I know it's the Rotel. Something is wrong with one channel. I don't know what to look for. It must be the output transistor or the Capacitor. Basically what causes the the weak sound or no sound from one channel?

have a read of this thread MrFix90 ---> Amplifier Repair here in the same forum. a number of suggestions there which would apply equally to your problem.

Things are not allways what they seem (as you can see from my little chopstick problem)... check rail fuses (if they are present) for weak/distorted sound, or if there are none check that the +- voltage from the powersupply is equal from one channel to the other.

Also consider asking the mods to move this thread to the solid state forum. More likely to have people familar with this amp there.

Tony.
