Just a quick note on processor heatsinks - these have narrow fins and narrow spacing designed for forced air cooling, Without a fan they are not very efficent, keep an eye on the temperature if used for a chip amp without forced cooling.

Thanks for the heads up. I will have to see how running a fan in the power supply case will affect the noise/sound. My guess is that it will be okay since the power supply is switched-mode anyway. The fan might add a hum though...
