Any spice models for the LM3886 ?
Hello
Is there any reliable spice models for the LM3886 ? Thank you Bye Gaetan |

Hello
Did you try it, how good is that model ? Thank you Bye Gaetan |
how would you go about adding something like that to multisim ?

It is basically a copy of the equivalent schematic from the datasheet with a reasonable guess at the current sources. The semiconductors are the standard models, as can be expected, when a model is not from the manufacturer. What it does: - The current limiter works, but the thresholds do not seem to be realistic. - The same goes for the undervoltage protection and the clipping protection. - The mute pin works, although it needs 1 mA to activate the amp fully as opposed to the 0,5 mA specified in the datasheet. - It allows you to simulate the filters around the amplifier and the feedback loop's function. What it does not: - Show reliable THD results. - Allow for thermal simulation. - Simulate the entire functionality of the SPiKe protection system. - Work on all realistic conditions. Some combinations of values make the simulation very slow or end with an error message. |
