NE5532 as a pre amp for a Szekeres headphone amp

I am putting together (albeit very slowly) a headphone amp based on this design (http://www.headwize.com/projects/sho...e1_add_prj.htm) with an added CCS output stage, to go inside my passive pre for my LM3875 dual mono Gainclone.

I have aquired a Low noise preamp kit from Maplins (UK) based around an NE5532 dual opamp http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=220053.

My question is, would it be possible to impliment this preamp into the Szekeres design? Would it just be a case of connecting the output of the op-amp to the the input of the MOSFET amp?

Why do you need a preamp before the headamp?

What's wrong with feeding your signal straight to the volume pot?

It was just a general question. It is not my intention to fit it, I was just exploring the possibilites. A bit of experimentation helps the learning process
