WM8816 based pre-amp

Hi everyone,

I am working on a pre-amp project using WM8816. Do you think is it a bit outdated since the chip is discontinued?

I have made a prototype module as shown here. A mother board will be designed on which power supplies, input relays, the module and MCU are placed. A Silabs C8051 is used to control the module and input relays.

Any ticks/tips for WM8816?

I plan to have WM8816 on a module as shown in post #1. MCU, regulators and others are on another board (main board). Any comment?

I will write some code in C for the C8051 MCU.

I think it would be better to just expose the interface and allow another solution to control the chip. I've used Arduino
to control a DAC and I would want to use the same interface to control other chips such as this.
